Atlantis Mission Report #S1 01
I awoke from hyper sleep and went to the computer to check the destination. To my shock, we have crash landed into an ocean. The shield was activated to protect the sea from crushing into the ship. But not all part of the ship were protected, some part is already been flooded. To my surprise, we have traveled for 21 month instead of 15 month of hyper space. The logs seem to be corrupted because most of the data couldn’t be access.
Among 200 team member who participate this expedition, only a handful of 57 survive and still on the ship. The remaining members seem to be ejected by the ship using EEV (Emergency Evacuation Vehicle) or killed in the flood. Dr. Gordon Freeman, the expedition leader is still with us, while the military advisor, Brigadier General Alex J. Summer is not to be seen. It was assume that he is also ejected into the EEV because his hyper sleep chamber was ejected. The biggest concern I have is the power source. The level of power remain is very less and Dr. Freeman said that if the power fails, the shield will fail and the ship will be flooded.
I thought of a way to escape, it is by dialing to Atlantis address and see if we could establish a wormhole. That was the only way to escape. Lucky for us, the wormhole was successfully established. We send an M.A.L.P to check the viability. The result from the M.A.L.P was good and we decide to move all the personnel and all the equipment to Atlantis.
In Atlantis, all the light just went on by its own, seems like if it detect any life signs, the city will be awake. The stargate is located in a room which seems to be a control room of some sort. We evacuate what we can from the ship.
The Atlantis city is powered by three ZPM (Zero Point Module), a powerful generator which draw energy from sub-space. After a while of exploring the city, I’ve found out that the city is indeed underwater sea, like what Plato has described. The city itself have a powerful shield generator which stopping the ocean from crushing city.
Since I am the ranking officer among the Colonial Marines, I have self appoint as the new Atlantis Security Force Commander for this expedition until General Summer have been found. In the mean time, the scientist is trying to understand the surrounding of this city. A few computer experts have been assigned to recover the corrupted ship log in order to know what happen to the ship.
